Catherine Mary O'Donnell
Welcome!
I’m a fifth year PhD candidate in Economics at Boston University. My research interests lie in public and labor economics, political economy and economic history. My work studies fiscal and political economy considerations in policymaking, with a specific focus on how government policy impacts migration and spatial inequalities.
Prior to the PhD, I worked as a research analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia . As a PhD student, I've worked as a research intern at Massachusetts State Treasury and a litigation associate intern at Analysis Group Boston.
I am honored to be the recipient of the Boston University Henry S. Newman Graduate Fellowship for the 2026-2027 academic year.
